Dit kon niet ontbreken in mijn serie over Apeldoorn, mijn middelbare school. Dit is het Veluws College Walterbosch. Ik heb het hier altijd erg naar mijn zin gehad en er veel lol gehad. Het is tevens een van de oudste scholen van Apeldoorn.

Een aantal weken geleden ben ik met mijn moeder naar de tentoonstelling van het terracottaleger van Xi’an geweest in het Drents Museum in Assen geweest. Een hele reis, maar het was het zeker waard. Als er mensen zijn die geboeid zijn door de Chineese cultuur is dit echt een must. Het terracottaleger is gebouwd voor de eerste keizer van de Xi’an dynasty en wel voor het hiernamaals. Het leger bestaat uit 8000 man (dit is er tot nu toe gevonden), maar dit zal nog toenemen. De eerste legers werden in 1974 ontdekt toen boeren een waterput aan het slaan waren. Ze ontdekten de grootste archeologische vondst ooit. De tentoonstelling is nog te zien in assen tot 31 Augustus 2008. Voor de Belgische bezoeker is het nog een tentoonstelling geplant in de Minderbroederkerk in Maaseik.
A few weeks ago I was visiting the Drents Museum in Assen. This because the expostition of the terracotta army of the first emperor of China. This Emperor was Xi’an and he build this army because the army would fight for him when he died. The army has 8000 soldiers and this is only what is found. The first soldiers are found in 1974 when farmer made a waterwell. They dicovered the biggest archeological found in the history of man. The expostition of the terracotta army is in assen till the 31 of August 2008. After this exposition there is a exposition of the same army in the Minderbroederkerk in Maaseik (Belgium).
De meeste mensen zullen Boeing en Airbus wel kennen, Boeing is al jaren een grote speler op de luchtvaartmarkt. Airbus daarin tegen doet minder lang mee op deze druk bezette markt. Hierboven is een leuk filmpje te zien over de bouw van het grootste passagiersvliegtuig in de wereld, de Airbus A380 bied ruimte aan maximaal 853 passagiers. Hier onder staat een filmpje over de bouw van de A340. Maar Airbus heeft natuurlijk meer te bieden dan dit enorme vliegtuig. De kleine serie van de A320 is bijvoorbeeld erg succesvol en betekende de echte doorbraak van de vliegtuigbouwer. Tot 1998 was het Amerikaanse Boeing marktleider op de vliegtuigmarkt, maar sinds dien heeft Airbus het grootste aandeel binnen deze sector.

The A340 is a long-haul plane with the longest distance to go. But Airbus has more planes than those two. The A320 serie is one of the best selling series in the whole world and since 1998 is Airbus the market leader of airplane builders.
Is hij niet mooi de nieuwe terminal op Londen Heathrow? Hij is zeker mooi, maar het werkt niet. Er zijn sinds de ingebruikname van de nieuwe terminal 5 zijn al een 28.000 stukken bagage kwijt geraakt op het enorme vliegveld in Londen. Maar dit brengt meer problemen mee dan alleen voor de passagiers. Ook de luchtvaartmaatschappijen die verantwoordelijk zijn voor de bagage zullen boetes moeten gaan betalen aan de passagiers. Dit is een kleine € 1.300 per persoon. Vermenigvuldig dit met 28.000 en je heb €36.400.000, hier kan je toch iets anders leuks mee doen. Er zullen snel maatregelen worden genomen om hier een einde aan te maken anders zou het wel eens grote gevolgen kunnen hebben voor de luchthaven.

Het Oostenrijkse Austrian Airlines viert vandaag zijn 50ste verjaardag, dit is zeer vreemd te noemen want volgens de officiele cijfers. De eerste vlucht van het Oostenrijkse bedrijf was op 18 maart 1958. Sindsdien heeft het bedrijf een enorme groei doorgemaakt en is uitgegroeit tot één van de grotere luchtvaarbedriven in Europa.

Één van de meest bekende gevechtsvliegtuigen is uit dienst, dat heeft de Amerikaanse luchtmacht bekend gemaakt. De F117 Nighthawk was een van de eerste stealth vliegtuigen in de wereld. Stealth houdt in dat het vliegtuig niet of nauwelijks op de radar is te zien. De F117 is een kleine bommenwerper die dienst deed vanaf 1981.
Na een beetje zoeken heb ik ook informatie gevonden over de opvolger van de F117, dit zal de F22 Raptor worden. Deze beschikt ook over Stealth technologie en kan ook bombarderen.

After a little search, I’ve found the successor of the F117, this would be the F22 Raptor. The F22 has also Stealth technology and could bomb.
De Europese mededingingscommissie heeft vandaag invallen gedaan bij de maatschappijen Lufthansa, Alitalia en KLM. De invallen waren onaangekondigd en werden ondernomen omdat er aanwijzigingen zijn voor illegale prijsafspraken tussen verschillende maatschappijen naar onder meer Japan. De nationale anti kartel bureau´s hielpen mee met de invallen. Britsh Airways en Virgin Altantic lieten weten geen inspecteurs over de vloeren te hebben gehad.

Diegene die dit zingt heb ik leren kennen op de basisschool. Een tijdje geleden kwam ik via het internet weer tegen en hebben wat gepraat met elkaar. Ik hoorde dat met zingen was begonnen en ik was eigenlijk wel benieuwd hoe dat klonk. Ze heeft me toen een nummer van haar toegestuurd. Sinds kort staat er dit filmpje van haar op internet. De foto’s die voorbij komen zij bij mijn weten gemaakt op Koninginnedag 2007 in Apeldoorn, er zitten ook andere foto’s in. Ik vind haar stem erg goed en ze kiest de nummer die daarbij passen. Na twee weken heeft Johan Cruijff ontslag genomen bij Ajax. Hij kan het niet eens worden met de technische leiding (oa. Van Basten). Cruijff zou de jeugdopleiding weer op een redelijk niveau willen brengen. Dit kan volgens hem niet met de huidige technische staf.
After two weeks Johan Cruijff retired from football at Ajax. He can’t make any plans with the technical staff (with Marco Van Basten). Cruijff would make the youth adacemy better. He cannot do this with the staff at this moment.
Naar alle waarschijnlijkheid zal Air France – KLM aankomende week een bod uitbrengen op Alitalia. Dit meldt het persbureau Reuters. Alitalia zit al een tijdje in de problemen en wordt eigenlijk levend gehouden door de Italiaanse regering.
Ik persoonlijk zou het erg jammer vinden als dit mooie bedrijf dreigt op te houden met zijn bestaan. Ik denk dat het probleem is dat ze niet met de tijd mee zijn gegaan. Ik denk dat de komende jaren meerder luchtvaartmaatschappijen op te houden met bestaan. Dit door de verouderde vloot en de moordende concurrentie in de luchtvaartsector.
Air France – KLM will bit for the Italian company Alitalia next week. According to Reuters, It is not a big secret that Air France – KLM wants to take over Alitalia. Alitalia is nearly Bankrupt only the Italian government is a inverster.
I hope that the name Alitalia will be a name in the aviation world. It is a beauty full company that has a nice history. But I think the Italian government is crazy if they invest more money in Alitalia. I think there will be more companies go bankrupt the coming year, because the old fleet of some companies and the big concurrence in aviation.
